Allyson’s Mighty Story

From the moment Allyson Cruz entered this world on August 21, 2021, she brought light, laughter, and joy into her family’s lives. She was a happy, loving little girl—full of energy, always smiling, never a picky eater. Just a chunky toddler with a big heart and an even bigger personality. No one could have imagined how quickly her world would change.

Just before Allyson turned two, her health began to shift. Out of nowhere, she started getting sick—again and again. Every other week, her mom Wendy rushed her to the emergency room, only to be told the same thing each time: “It’s just a virus.” Visit after visit, concern after concern, and still no answers. But a mother’s instinct is powerful. Wendy knew something wasn’t right.

She begged. She cried. She pleaded with doctors to look deeper, to help her baby. Finally, bloodwork was done—and two days later, Wendy received a call that would change everything: “Take her to the emergency room immediately.”

Allyson was in critical condition.

What Wendy didn’t know was that she wouldn’t be leaving the hospital with her daughter that day. Instead, they were admitted—and life as they knew it stopped.

At just two years old, Allyson endured more than most people experience in a lifetime. Long hospital stays. Being NPO. Constant sedation. Fear she was too young to understand but felt deeply. She cried to go home, and Wendy had to stay strong without being able to explain why they couldn’t. An ultrasound revealed a tumor the size of a baseball in Allyson’s belly. Days later came the words no parent is ever prepared to hear:

Stage 4 neuroblastoma.

Their world collapsed.

Wendy was torn between the hospital and home—between Allyson and another daughter who also needed her. As days turned into weeks, Allyson grew weaker. Wendy begged her baby to fight. And somehow, Allyson did. She saw her mother’s strength. She felt her love. And she fought with everything she had.

Chemotherapy. Surgery. Biopsies. A stem cell transplant. Pain no child should ever know.

And still—she fought.

Wendy stood beside her every step of the way, never showing fear, never letting Allyson see her cry, so her baby could stay brave. Slowly, days turned into months, and Allyson began to heal. About ten months ago, the family received the news they had prayed endlessly for:

Allyson was cancer-free. Joy filled their hearts. Prayers were answered. Hope returned. But this journey wasn’t finished yet. After seven months cancer-free, Allyson relapsed on September 20, 2025 the same month she was first diagnosed two years earlier. The devastation returned, but so did their determination. Because Allyson is still fighting. And she is doing amazing.

Her family is not giving up. They will fight with her every step of the way until she is finally done with cancer for good. Allyson is the definition of mighty. Her story is one of resilience, faith, and the unbreakable bond between a child and her family. And her message, shared through her parents’ strength, is one the world needs to hear:

Never live in fear.
Never give bad energy to your children.
And never underestimate how mighty a child can be.

What Makes Allyson Mighty 💛🎗️

What makes Allyson truly mighty is her unbreakable spirit.

No matter what her body has been through, she gets up and keeps going. Day after day, she pushes herself to feel better, to heal, to fight. Even in the hardest moments, when the weight of cancer tries to slow her down, Allyson refuses to let it define her—or defeat her.

Her strength comes from something deeper than medicine alone. God gives her the courage to keep fighting, and she carries that strength with her into every treatment, every hospital stay, and every challenge placed in her path.

She amazes her family every single day.

Allyson doesn’t just endure—she rises. She shows us that even the smallest heroes can carry the biggest faith, the strongest will, and the mightiest hearts. 💛🎗️
