Cooper’s Mighty Story

At just 3½ months old, sweet Cooper’s life changed in an instant when he was diagnosed with Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor (MRT) of the left kidney. From the very beginning, his journey has required extraordinary strength.

Cooper bravely endured multiple aggressive chemotherapy treatments and 21 fractions of radiation — all before most babies take their first steps. Then, in August, his family received another heartbreaking diagnosis: synchronous Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT) of the brain. Since then, Cooper has faced even more chemotherapy, 30 additional fractions of radiation to his brain, two brain surgeries, multiple PICU stays, and unexpected hospital admissions.

For this precious family, the hospital has become more familiar than home.

Yet through it all, Cooper continues to fight with a strength far beyond his years. He is the youngest of three boys, and his big brothers mean the world to him. Their bond, their love, and the moments they share — whether in a hospital room or at home — are reminders of what truly matters.

Cooper’s journey is one of unimaginable challenges, but also of resilience, courage, and deep family love. He is, without question, a Mighty Hero. 💛

What makes Cooper mighty?

He has fought like a true warrior from the very beginning. Despite the unexpected hurdles placed in front of him — diagnoses, surgeries, long hospital stays, and countless treatments — Cooper continues to face each one with incredible strength and spunk far beyond his years.

Through it all, he still finds joy. He still finds light.

Cooper almost always has a smile on his face, proudly showing off every single one of his teeth. That smile has carried his family through some of their darkest days. It’s a reminder that courage doesn’t always roar — sometimes it beams brightly from a little boy’s grin.

His resilience, his fight, and his joyful spirit are what make him truly Mighty. 💛
