Kopelyn Mighty Story
Kopelyn was diagnosed with cancer at just 2 years old, and since then, her journey has been filled with more challenges than any child should ever have to face. She has endured 36 lumbar procedures, 137 clinic visits, and 75 days in the hospital.
Along the way, Kopelyn has lost her ability to walk three different times. Today, she may need braces on her feet, bands around her legs, and a walker when extra support is needed. Until just two months ago, she also relied on a feeding tube. She attends speech therapy and physical therapy every week, continuing to work hard through the changes treatment has brought.
Chemotherapy has caused Kopelyn to regress in many ways and has also led to seizures. She spends a lot of time away from her three siblings, and her family knows this is not easy on anyone. Doctors have shared that Kopelyn has experienced some of the worst-case side effects from the medications she’s needed—meaning she doesn’t always get the chance to simply be a 3-year-old.
What makes Kopelyn mighty?
Kopelyn is mighty because of her strength and courage while fighting a battle she never asked for and doesn’t fully understand. Even in the hardest moments, she shows up with grace, resilience, and a power far beyond her years. 💛🎗️
